The Caribbean Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (CAROSAI) has secured an institutional development grant from the World Bank.

The overall objective of the grant is to strengthen the Fiduciary Oversight in the Caribbean through the Caribbean Audit Institutions. The grant is intended to be implemented at the regional level by CAROSAI.

The specific objectives of the grant are to:

• Help build CAROSAI members capacity
• Strengthen SAI legislative framework in the CAROSAI region
• Strengthen Parliamentary/SAI relationships
• Prepare an institutional needs assessment
• Design and mentor peer reviews

The consultants for the project are from the United Kingdom National Audit Office (UKNAO). The project started in April 2011 and is expected to be completed by April 2012.
